How Often to Wash

Recommendation: Wash pillowcases and items that touch skin every 10–14 days.

CLEANING — Quick Guide

Hand Wash

Use cold or lukewarm water (<30°C) with a pH-neutral or silk detergent. Gently press—do not rub or wring. Rinse and press out excess water.

Machine Wash

Turn inside-out, use a laundry bag, and wash on a delicate/silk cycle with cold water. Spin minimally or on the shortest setting. Air dry.

Drying

Remove when about 80–85% dry, then finish air-drying flat. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources.

Avoid

No bleach or high-alkaline detergents. Avoid hot water or harsh rubbing to preserve the silk’s natural sheen.

SILK CARE — Detailed Advice

Drying & Tumble Advice

Lay flat or air-dry indoors out of direct sunlight. If using a dryer, choose cool or air-fluff for a few minutes, remove immediately, and finish by laying flat to dry.

Ironing

Iron on silk or low setting while slightly damp, always inside-out. Use a steamer for gentler care and to restore sheen.

Stain Removal

Blot stains gently with cold water and a clean cloth—do not rub. For stubborn marks, use mild silk detergent, rinse in cold water. Avoid hot water, bleach, or vinegar.

Pets & Sharp Objects

Silk snags easily — keep pet nails trimmed and avoid placing sharp or rough objects on silk surfaces.
